The closures of schools and churches are changing the fabric of rural Ontario. As they lose these central meeting spaces, people in rural communities are becoming isolated from each other.
In Kingsbridge, the community has repurposed the closed church as a cultural centre with a community based agenda. To follow our progress or join us on this journey of revitalization, we invite you to explore this website.

Lake Effect Kingsbridge the Musical III
June 7, 2019 @ 8:00 pm
Lake Effect is the third installment in the hit “Kingsbridge the Musical” series written by Warren Robinson with original music by Eleanor Robinson. This year’s production focuses on 1970-71 and, specifically on the super blizzard of 1971 which knocked out power, closed roads and stranded people for three to four days. The extremely talented cast of 45, accompanied by a 7 piece band, offer rollicking ballads, satiric ditties and tender love songs while weaving threads of history, romance and human failing into an unforgettable tale. Visit the cattle auction, an hilarious Christmas concert rehearsal, a wedding reception and more. Mark the dates on the calendar right now and tell all your friends. In fact, plan to come the first week because you may want to return for the second week of Lake Effect: Kingsbridge the Musical III.
