Steve Deasy

Steve is an award-winning American-Canadian performing songwriter.  His song “People Once Were Welcome Here” was named a top 10 song for social change by Music2Life for 2020-2011. “I’m Working for Wal*Mart” was recognized as a Labor Notes song of the month, and “Let Me Make Peace” has been recognized by Music2Life and Great Lakes Songwriting.  Steve’s performance will feature great fingerpicking guitar, tenor vocals and piano.  The performance will feature Steve’s original songs, songs by Canadian artists such as Gordon Lightfoot, The Tragically Hip, Bruce Cockburn and more, and American folk artists such as Bob Dylan, John Prine, Paul Simon, David Crosby and more. It has been since 2019 that Steve has had the privilege of performing at the St. Joseph’s Kingsbridge Center and he can’t wait to perform again and connect with his friends in the Kingsbridge Community.  Admission by Donation.  Refreshments Available.  Kingsbridge Centre is Wheelchair Accessible.
